Rose hip is one of the products mostly used in national popular and official medicine. Its curative qualities are widely known: it is the source of vitamins, having general tonic and immune modulatory effects. Rose hip also has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect, which increases the release of bilis and prevents the development of atherosclerosis. Besides, rose hip helps to fasten the regeneration of tissues, stimulates hormones synthesis, firms the vessels making their walls more elastic, positively influences metabolic processes and even improves the renal functioning. Rose hip contains the whole list of healthful agents: vitamins complex (С, В1, В2, Е, К), organic acids (lemon, linoleic, apple), flavonoids, faty oils, routine, carotene, macro and microelements (iron, manganese, phosphorus, calcium, magnum), tannins, pectin and many others.
Rose hip in the form of infusions, brews, tea is recommended when having colds and infections, hypo and vitamin deficiency, urogenital system diseases, anemia, atherosclerosis, cardiovascular system diseases, hemorrhagic tendency, during the period of rehabilitation after injuries, burns, surgery, general inanition of the body, consequences of a hard disease, immoderate physical activity, metabolic exchange disorders.
Besides, rose hip is recommended as a preventing means in the autumn-spring period, during work connected with staying in cold or sedentary work, liability to inflectional diseases.

Making an infusion: put 1 tablespoon of ground rose hip into the enamel kitchenware and pour 1 glass of boiling water. Then close the kitchenware and warm on the water bath for 15-20 minutes. After that cool the infusion, filter and express. If necessary add boiled water to the initial volume (200 ml). Take in half of the glass 2 times a day after meals. Children should not take more than 1/3 of the glass at a time.
Making a brew: pour 500ml of hot water over 50 gr of grounded rise hip and boil for 20-30 minutes constantly stirring. Then ingrain for 10-12 hours, filter and express. Take in one glass 3 times a day, for children: 1/3 of the glass 3 times a day before meals.
